Captain's Log

With two small kids my time for outdoor adventure has diminished. However I'm now trying to find activities that will suit my new lifestyle. This blog will follow my outdoor pursuits in general and this year will focus a lot on my experimentation with sailing.

Maritime radio license

VHF radio

I've joined sailtime for the summer and have some certifications that I have to achieve in order to be ready to sail.

One of those is the V.H.F. Radio Operators Certificate. I took the course over the last two nights and tonight was the final exam. Thankfully I passed and therefore received my certification. Nice.

One down, two more to go (my Toronto Harbor License and my CYA Basic Certification written exam.
