Captain's Log
With two small kids my time for outdoor adventure has diminished. However I'm now trying to find activities that will suit my new lifestyle. This blog will follow my outdoor pursuits in general and this year will focus a lot on my experimentation with sailing.
Orientation on our Sailtime Hunter 36
So we had our first orientation on the Hunter 36 today. What an amazing feeling it was to step aboard knowing that this was our boat for the summer! Quite a "starter" boat!
Dave from Sailtime gave us our orientation. He went through a lot of the procedures and showed us around the boat. It is well stocked for safety and comfort and the Sailtime procedures are amazingly well thought out.
There was very little wind on the lake which was disappointing but also gave us the opportunity to see how the boat performs in weak winds.
Next week I write my basic certification and then can take everybody out. Can't wait!

congrats -- what a hoot
