Captain's Log

With two small kids my time for outdoor adventure has diminished. However I'm now trying to find activities that will suit my new lifestyle. This blog will follow my outdoor pursuits in general and this year will focus a lot on my experimentation with sailing.

May 2-4 Weekend at Redstone Lake

An old picture of us jumping from the cliffs

Rich, Zita, Ben, Glen, Bev, Anke and I (plus kids) went up to our cottage on Redstone Lake for the long weekend. The weather was fantastic especially on the Saturday.

We put the boat in the water and headed for the cliffs. The water was incredibly cold at this time of the year - but we braved it out with no wetsuits (the photo above is from a couple of years ago before the wetsuits were misplaced or ripped).

Even though the water is high right now the cliff still gives you a nice burst of adrenaline. We figure it's probably 35 feet at this time of year.
