Video Review: Cannondale's entry into All Mountain bikes

One bike that just missed the cut for our all mountain bike review in the June issue of explore was the Cannondale Rize 4. This is a great bike and only missed the print mag because of space. I liked it so much I bought it.

Cannondale is an interesting US company that was just bought by a Chinese giant. Since I got into mountain biking in the early 90s the company has never shied from following its own path, particularly with proprietary shock technology, like the 90s Head Shock and, more recent, Lefty fork, a single arm front fork. The company is most synonymous with cross country, road and touring rides. So, we were pretty keen to see what it could do in the all mountain category. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the bike goes down, not quite as well as the Norco Fluid or Gary Fisher Roscoe but in line with the Kona One20. On the way up, its cross country pedigree shows. Plus it's a light and efficient ride.

Check out my video review of this pretty, white bike from YouTube.
