Just a quick note to let you know that the TRAN committee of parliament has submitted its report to the Minister of Transport recommending changes to the Navigable Waters Protection Act that, if enacted, will remove navigable status from thousands of rivers across Canada. The NWPA amendments are expected to be tabled in the house in the fall.

The following is a link to video clips taken during the Vigil for Rivers on Parliament Hill Sunday June 8, Canadian Rivers Day.
