Known for its stunning old-growth forest filled with the magical Redwood trees, this park is an outdoor lover's playground. The park is located just off Highway 101 near the California/Oregon border. Admission is free.

Hikers will find over 200 miles of backcountry trails that not only snake there way through forests but also pass rivers, marshes and stunning ocean views with unspoiled beaches.

There are 6 bicycling routes for those who prefer life on two wheels. These range from gentle routes on paved roads to a few backcountry trails on old rehabilitated logging roads.

There is even a company called Kayak Zak's who holds a permit to run kayaks through the rivers and ocean that surrounds the park.

In total there are four official campgrounds in the park. Click on the Park's link to make reservations through a phone number or online.
