An instructional book by Kathleen Meyer, first published by Ten Speed Press in 1989. (ISBN 0-89815-627-0)

Though it's purposely treated with a humorous touch, complete with an extensive glossary on how to use the word "shit," it's a valuable reference on what to do with human waste when you're out in the wilderness.

Subjects range from the basics of how and where to dig a hole, to specific techniques for women to pee while standing.

How to dig a hole? Are you saying I have to poo in hole? What's wrong with leaving the poo where it lands? I'm intrigued now, maybe I'll have to buy the book.
