Sir Sam's Ski Area, Ontario, Canada
Sir Sam's is a small ski hill located about 20 minutes northwest of Haliburton and about 2 1/2 hours north-east of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The ski hill was started 40 years ago by the Bishop family. There are 12 runs that are serviced by 2 quad chairs and 2 double chairs.
Snow is plentiful in this part of Ontario so generally conditions are good.
Skiers and boarders shouldn't expect long runs, but this is a great place to teach young kids to ski and for adults to get outside and the view from the top on a sunny day is breath-taking.
Getting There From Toronto
Follow the Don Valley Parkway (404) to the Davis Dr. exit. Turn east (right) onto Davis Drive and follow to highway 48. Go left, and follow 48 to Coboconk at highway 35. Turn left (north) onto #35 and follow through Minden to Carnarvon. Turn right (east) and follow the signs at Highway 118.
